This course is designed for employees or workers whose work may uncover or disturb asbestos. In particular:
•Demolition, refurbishment or maintenance workers or trades and apprentices,
•Workers involved in the disturbance of the fabric of buildings,
•Workers who may enter building cavities, risers, subfloors or ceiling spaces,
•Architects, surveyors or Strata and Body Corporate members or workers involved in site inspections.
•Workers who intend to remove <10 m2 of non-friable asbestos.
This course may also be of interest to home renovators, or anyone with a view to learning more about asbestos in a general nature.
Does this training certify me to remove asbestos?
This awareness training will provide you with asbestos awareness, as well as the basics for removing < 10 m2 of non-friable asbestos.
Additional training is required for friable or non-friable asbestos removal, or to work in the ACT.
Do I need to have done any pre-requisite training?
No experience necessary, everyone is welcome to undertake this training.
